How to ACTIVATE Windows XP without any software

This is a simple but effective registry hack that has been tried and tested several times by me…

If you don’t believe me then try this for yourself!

1 – Start menu/run/ type “regedit” and press enter,
this will take you to the registry editor

2 – Now follow this directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/WindowsNT/CurrentVersion/WPAEvents

3 – When you get to WPAEvents in the righthand column there should be “OOBETimer”
right click it and go to “modify”
Change the numbers in there to :

FF D5 71 D6 8B 6A 8D 6F d5 33 93 FD (this works with Windows XP Home and Pro, both 32 and 64bit versions)

4 – When you’ve entered them, right click on the file “WPAEvents” and go into “permissions”

5 – In there highlight “SYSTEM” and underneath it check the two boxes under “deny” and click “OK”

Phew thats it!!! I know it looks complicated but it’s really easy, it just requires patience.

I tried this when I used up the amount of times you can activate Windows XP, it worked a treat!

To check that Windows is activated, simply click on Start menu/All Programs/Activate Windows.

It will say “Windows is already activated”.

If you want to simply enter the computer without having to login, you can...You even choose which account you want to automatically login to..

When you login to windows you usually go to the login screen. On the login screen there a list of usernames that have an account on the computer.

There can be one or more users that have an account on the computer. This is where you sign in to an account to use the computer. If you want to bypass this stage and just start using your computer straight way then the instructions below will help you.

How to login to an account automatically when you start windows:
1. Go to the start menu and choose run. If run is not there we will type into the search bar.
2. Type control userpasswords2 in the run box or search bar in Vista.
3. Select a user name by clicking on it once and making it blue.



4. Now untick the box that says Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
5. Press apply.
6. Now you must enter the user names password twice and press ok.
7. Press ok and exit the User account window.



Why would you want to login to your user account automatically?
• There is nothing important on your computer.
• The computer is for a child to play games on.
• You are lazy and don't want to type in a password.'
• You want to access your computer quickly.
• You are the only user on the computer.
• You are not worried if anyone uses your computer.
Notes:
• Obviously you can only automatically login to one user account at a time, therefore one username can only be set to automatic. To change which account you want to login to you must disable the previous one by replacing the tick in the box Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
• Just remember that if you set your computer to automatic login then anyone who turns your computer on can access your user account and all the files and folders.

Clearing Your Complete Web Browsing History in Firefox 3

Firefox has a "Clean Private Data" feature that promises to clear all your web surfing tracks-everything including cookies,cache,temporary files,web addresses and stored password are deleted from the computer

However if you are using the latest Firefox 3 browser, do not assume that this "Clean Private Data" command will clean your entire Firefox web history - anyone can easily discover the websites that you have visited using Firefox.

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Del to open the Clear Private Data window in Firefox, select everything (including Browsing History) and hit OK. If you like, you may restart Firefox.

2. Everything should be cleared from Firefox in Step 1. Now lets click the drop-down in the Firefox address bar - you’ll see a long list of websites there. How come they are not deleted ?

3. There’re some more surprises here - from the bookmarks toolbar, click either the "Smart Bookmarks" or the "Places" folder and you’ll find another list that uncovers your browsing habits.

This is probably a bug that should be fixed in the future builds of Firefox 3 but until then, don’t rely on the browser if you are worried about privacy

AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not capable of destroying it

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner.

The Life is beautiful virus hoax is an e-mail hoax which began circulating on the Internet around January 2002. The e-mail details a virus contained in a Microsoft PowerPoint attachment which is supposedly called Life is beautiful.pps. To date, no such virus has been found and the e-mail is widely considered a hoax.

The e-mail claims to be based upon information from Microsoft and Norton. Symantec, the makers of Norton AntiVirus and who actually provides the virus definitions database for Norton AntiVirus, have issued an advisory stating that the e-mail is a hoax.

The hoax e-mail continues by saying that the virus was made by a person who is suing Microsoft in court for patent infringement.

Please send it to everybody you know who accesses the Internet.
